From Kuwait 2012
Didn't walk much this morning, just stayed at one spot,

let the dogs swim (High tide - yippieh)

Some idiots did drive their car around and many more left their trash behind. But that's Kuwait,...

Some odd colours on the horizon, usually a sign for dust coming (so it was, just 3 days later and just a little bit. )

Some Barn Swallows made a brief appearance

And the Black-headed Gulls seem to start a change of plumage

Caught one first winter Black-headed Gull too. I was a bit irritated at the black tail line and had to look it up :)

And my favorite of the day - shot this way by accident though :)

  1. Lovely shots of your dogs enjoying themselves Nicole.
The gulls can be a nightmare at times in their various stages of plumage lol
Accident or not, that last shot is pretty good, with the moon. :-)

    1. Gulls are pretty much a mystery to me anyway :-D
And since I don't have a longer lens (or if they don't get closer), even the guys at Birdforum can't tell me what I got. Sigh ;)

Thanks, I like that shot too :)

  2. Your dogs are smarter than the residents, bringing in litter from the waters. I would get so depressed being around such disregard everyday. I don't know how you manage.

    1. King often does (the Lab), but usually I throw the bottles in and they bring them back to me.
They are good bottle collectors (and trash eaters) though ;)

How I manage? Don't know. It pulls you down pretty good from time to time. Maybe that's where I got my slightly fatalistic point of the world, humans and nature and our future from.
Nah. I think, I always had that (I think Mother Nature will kick us in the a**e very soon and very hard. What we have now these days is just the beginning).

  3. even your dogs will pick up beach trash... at least you find ways to enjoy the beach, regardless of the abuse it takes from others.

    1. That's one thing I learned over the years here.
And that's why I try to post positive things with the not so nice ones...

    1. No worries :-)
I am not one that starts whining when I don't get 'meaningful' comments (I don't always have the time or brain capacity to write down a Novel in a comment). Every comment means a lot to me :-)
      Glad you like the views!

  8. Hi there - have just returned from the wild, woolly and less that wonderful world of wireless only internet - so now I'm catching up!

I can see why you like that last shot.

However, as a shot that says something I also like the BHG with the bottle in the foreground.
